Who we are

PatchMemo is an independent English-language publication about software, AI, and workplace technology. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to hello@patchmemo.com.

Information you provide

We receive the information you choose to include when you contact us by email, such as your email address, name, message, and any attachments. PatchMemo does not currently operate a newsletter account or subscription form.

Technical information

Our hosting and web server may process standard request data needed to deliver and secure the site, including IP address, date and time, requested URL, response status, browser or user-agent information, and referring page. We use this information for availability, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, and security.

Browser storage and cookies

PatchMemo stores a reading-theme preference in your browser. Google services may use cookies and browser storage according to your consent choice and applicable requirements. Optional analytics and advertising storage are denied by default until the certified Google consent platform communicates the visitor’s choice.

Analytics and advertising

PatchMemo uses Google Analytics and Google AdSense with Google Consent Mode. Before you make a choice, analytics and advertising storage are denied. In this state, Google tags do not write analytics or advertising cookies, but they may send limited cookieless measurements, ad requests, and consent signals to Google. When you allow Analytics, Google Analytics can use analytics storage to help us understand readership, traffic sources, device categories, approximate location, and how visitors use the publication. When you allow Advertising, Google AdSense may deliver, measure, and personalize ads where available. Contextual or limited ads may still be shown when personalization is unavailable or not allowed, subject to applicable requirements. Google may process analytics and advertising data under its own privacy terms. You can change your choices through the “Privacy and cookie settings” link provided by Google on supported pages.

Sharing and service providers

We do not sell personal information. Limited technical data may be processed by infrastructure providers that help us host, secure, and deliver the site. External websites linked from our articles operate under their own privacy policies.

Retention and security

Email is retained only as long as reasonably needed to answer the message, maintain editorial records, resolve disputes, or meet applicable obligations. Server logs and backups follow operational retention and rotation practices. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but we use reasonable technical and access controls.

Your choices and requests

You can accept, reject, or change optional categories through the Google privacy controls where available. You may also clear PatchMemo data in your browser settings. Requests to access, correct, or delete information you have provided can be sent to hello@patchmemo.com; we may need to verify the request before acting.

Changes to this policy

We will revise this page when our data practices, providers, or legal obligations materially change. The updated date at the top identifies the current version.
