Who we are

PatchMemo is an independent English-language publication about software, AI, and workplace technology. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to hello@patchmemo.com.

Information you provide

We receive the information you choose to include when you contact us by email, such as your email address, name, message, and any attachments. PatchMemo does not currently operate a newsletter account or subscription form.

Technical information

Our hosting and web server may process standard request data needed to deliver and secure the site, including IP address, date and time, requested URL, response status, browser or user-agent information, and referring page. We use this information for availability, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, and security.

Browser storage and cookies

PatchMemo stores a reading-theme preference and your privacy choices in your browser. These essential preferences use local storage rather than an advertising identifier. Optional analytics and advertising storage are denied by default and can be changed through Cookie settings in the footer.

Analytics and advertising

PatchMemo does not currently load an analytics platform or advertising network. Before activating either category, we will update this policy, identify the relevant providers, and apply the visitor’s saved choice. Some regions may require an additional consent platform approved by an advertising provider.

Sharing and service providers

We do not sell personal information. Limited technical data may be processed by infrastructure providers that help us host, secure, and deliver the site. External websites linked from our articles operate under their own privacy policies.

Retention and security

Email is retained only as long as reasonably needed to answer the message, maintain editorial records, resolve disputes, or meet applicable obligations. Server logs and backups follow operational retention and rotation practices. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but we use reasonable technical and access controls.

Your choices and requests

You can accept, reject, or change optional categories at any time through Cookie settings. You may also clear PatchMemo data in your browser settings. Requests to access, correct, or delete information you have provided can be sent to hello@patchmemo.com; we may need to verify the request before acting.

Changes to this policy

We will revise this page when our data practices, providers, or legal obligations materially change. The updated date at the top identifies the current version.
